I have bought a second car because I cant afford to drive mine every day. I tried going slower but it didnt work, everytime some one went past me I had the urge to floor it.

my focus is a second car so luckily it hasnt affected the use of it i run a focus diesel as a company car but that replced a petrol due to fuel costs etc.
whe you onlly get 260 280 miles out of £60 of fuel you cant run it everyday if your commuting or doing any distance hence why many people do buy 2nd cars as cheap runabouts.

I'm and apprentice so it stops me driving as much as i used to, but atleast they are coming down a abit now. the garage down the road from me is 114.9, but in the city it is 110.9, still too much though compared to when i started driving.

i just drive slower. parkers guide reckons im meant to get 33mpg. i get 35/36 normally and have got 40.2 once. and im not going excessively slow. its just never using the brake and just tickling the throttle.

If i want to do a long distance, then i would have to take out a loan to drive the subaru there so i normally take my pug 306 diesel turbo... makes more sense :)

we have 2 car's,the previa and a suzuki wagon R 1.3 which we both use for work as its cheaper to run than the previa.use the previa for meets/family days out and towing the caravan.
